Bill Richardson
Is it me or was that a bizarre interview with former energy secretary and current New Mexico governor Bill Richardson.
He came off looking a little paranoid or like a conspiracy guy. I know very little about him, it was just the impression I got from the interview.

No, not just you. And wouldn't you think a former Energy Secretary would have a better understanding of how the oil/gas markets (spot & futures) work, how the supply/demand equation has been affected by refinery downtime, ramping Chinese consumption (to say nothing of our own gluttinous SUVs gas consumption). And what's his issue about Exxon's wanting to stay an "oil company" rather than invest in alternative energy?
Joe Kernan's takedown was beautiful. Richardson claimed Bush has no energy policy. Joe asked what Clinton's energy policy was and Richardson couldn't come up with one. He cracked me up.
Get used to him. He may very well be the Dems VP candidate in '08. He has two things going for him:he is part Mexican and speaks Spanish fluently and he managed to act dumb throughout the entire Clinton administration, and thus avoided being castigated.
He is "Slick Willie" minus about 50 IQ points.
